Payment and Information I collect:
In order for Claire of Loo and Bert to fulfill your order you must provide me with certain information, such as your name, email address, postal address, payment method and details of the product that you are ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional information (for a gift message in the gift card and wrap option) for example. Loo and Bert uses Pay-pal, this keeps your payment information secure. Loo and Bert never receive your bank or credit card details this way. Do you not have a Pay-pal account? That is OK to, Pay-pal will allow you to use their services to pay by card a few times before you must get an account. I do not currently accept cheques, postal orders or money transfers.
I have to use a third party to ship your items to you, and I have to share your personal information with them in order to achieve this, but only to the extent necessary to perform the service required. I will ship items out 1- 3 business days after payment has cleared. I am using Royal Mail for all for UK orders, shipping costs are not currently combined I will refund surplus fees above £2.00. Please allow up to 10 working days for delivery. This is a UK based shop and all listings and delivery costs are based on UK to UK postage costs and time estimates. Items on sale are not refundable.
Any item that has been altered or customised is non refundable.
I do appreciate that people do sometimes change their mind however many of our pieces are one of a kind so please only proceed with purchases if you are really certain that is the item you are looking for. If you receive an item and think it really isn't for you please contact me straight away. If, after messaging me a return is agreed upon, items must be sent back securely and safely to avoid damage or lost parts as buyers are responsible for any loss in value and return shipping costs. Due to this I recommend getting insurance for your parcel to protect you against the parcel going missing in the post and against damage. Items returned to me with damage and / or lost in the post will not be refunded. Items sent to wrong addresses are not my fault, please check you have sent me the correct address when you pay. I will not refund or replace due to buyer errors.
Lost and Damaged parcels:
Everyone hates a lost or damaged parcel. So I take great care in packaging your parcels safely. This may mean they are smothered in bubble wrap and / or sticky tape but the safety of your purchase is paramount to me. In the highly unlikely event of a lost or damaged parcel I will need photographic proof of the damage, this includes photos of the item and the packaging before claims can be made to Royal Mail on your behalf.
Sizing and item Details:
Handmade items may have slight fluctuations from each other although they are made from the same materials. Fluctuations may include slight colour differences for example rolls of linen can be of different shades and small changes in sizes. I try my hardest to take accurate clear photos for you, colours can show up different on different devices.
Claire does not smoke and nor does her cat. So all items leave her smoke free. The cat does not come in to the working rooms and she takes great care to make sure supplies and items are pet hair free.
Claire makes decorations and gifts, these are not toys and are not to be given to any child under the age of three years. Long cord items can cause a strangulation hazard. Keep all items away from naked flames and other heat sources. Buttons and other small parts can pose a choking hazard do not leave children alone with such items.
Please follow wash instructions on each individual listing as different materials will have different instructions.
Compliance with laws. I may collect, use, retain and share your information if I have good faith belief that is reasonably necessary to respond to legal processes or government requests, enforce my agreements, terms, policies and to prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security or technical issues, or to protect the rights, property and safety of my customers or others.
I will retain your information only for as long as necessary to provide to provide you with the services as described. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time period: 7 years.
If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. I describe these rights below:
- Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below.
- Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where I am required to store data for legal reasons).
- Object. You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
- Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
- I will not sell on your data
- I will not share your data unless compelled by law
- I only ask for your personal data to provide a service
